Online 11 plus Maths Tutor Programme Ages 8-11

This year-long reading programme helps children secure fluency in key number skills while developing reasoning and problem-solving strategies required for both the 11+ and KS2 SATs. It builds confidence in tackling multi-step questions and applying maths in unfamiliar contexts under timed conditions.

Children learn to:

  • Work confidently with whole numbers, decimals, negative numbers, and factors/multiples.

  • Compare, convert, and solve problems across FDP.

  • Solve scaling problems, use simple equations, and spot number patterns.

  • Calculate area, perimeter, volume, angles, and work with coordinates.

  • Interpret graphs, charts, and solve multi-step reasoning problems.

Key Features of the Programme:

  • Fluency practice in mental and written methods across all operations.

  • Exam-style reasoning questions introduced regularly to build confidence.

  • Problem-solving strategies taught explicitly (e.g., working systematically, estimating, checking).

  • Exam-style timed practice each term to build confidence under pressure.

  • Assessment - check points at the end of each term

  • Parent Feedback and suggested support strategies- when your child takes part in the learning sessions
